Sacramento Democratic party holding several presidential debate watch gatherings



In what could be considered an indication of the high interest in the 2020 Democratic Party presidential nomination process, local party officials have announced three watch gathering.

The three gatherings will be held on Thursday, June 27 through the county. The Thursday night gatherings will be held on the second of two debates - the first on Wednesday, June 26 - which will split the 20 qualifying candidates into two segments.

The Thursday night event which will include Sen. Bernie Sanders and former Vice President Joe Biden, is expected to have higher TV viewership and interest among party loyalist.

"Democrats are united to make sure that Donald Trump is a one-term president," Terry Schanz, Chair of the Democratic Party of Sacramento County said. "With such a large field of qualified Democratic candidates seeking the Party's nomination, the two nights of debates will help us learn more about the candidates and build important enthusiasm heading towards California's March 2020 Primary Election."

Along with these meetings, the group in Elk Grove known as ElkGrove4Bernie [Sanders] will have a watch party on Thursday at 1st Choice Pizza & Curry, 9308 Elk Grove Blvd., Suite 100 starting at 5 p.m.

Barn yard of cackling hens, giving away free stuff that they plan on punishing me. You have to ask yourself how much more are you willing to pay for someone that has not earned it? Let’s she what this second group of folks have to say. I bet more of the same!
