Motorist arrested by EGPD on probation violation, stolen vehicle charges

A motorist was arrested by Elk Grove Police after he was found driving a stolen vehicle.
Just after 9 a.m. on Tuesday, July 30, a license plate check by an Elk Grove Police officer revealed a vehicle driven by Anthony Richardson on the 8200 block of Laguna Boulevard was reported as stolen. After stopping Richardson, officers also learned he was on probation and was allegedly found possessing narcotics paraphernalia.
Richardson is held on a $540,000 bail at the Sacramento County Jail and will be arraigned on Thursday, August 1.
