Police seek assistance locating late night Elk Grove convenience store gas station robber

The Elk Grove Police have released a surveillance video of an apparent armed robber they are seeking.
The robbery occurred at the new Chevron gas station and convenience store on Elk Grove-Florin Road just south of Calvine Road. The suspect entered the store at 1:50 a.m. and made it appear that he had a handgun in his pocket.
The suspect took the cash and fled in a silver newer model Jeep Cherokee or Grand Cherokee. Prior to the robbery, the vehicle was captured by the surveillance video circulating the parking lot.
Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to call the Elk Grove Police Department Investigations Bureau at (916) 478-8060 or Crime Stoppers at (916) 443-HELP (4357). Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.00. Tips can also be sent via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on a cell phone, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message.
