Pedestrian fends off mugging by three juvenile suspects in north Elk Grove

Three juveniles assaulted a pedestrian during an attempted daytime robbery in north Elk Grove.

Just after 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 8, the victim was near Power Inn Road and Vista Brook Drive when three suspects described as male juveniles approached him. The suspects attempted to steal the victim's property, and two of the minors punched the victim.

The victim was able to defend against the attack, and the three suspects fled westbound without the personal property. The victim said the suspects were teenage African American and wore, respectively, black shirt and jeans; black shorts and a white t-shirt; and a dark-colored hoodie and black pants.
