As part of the environmental impact report being completed for the California Northstate University, a one-hour noise test will be conducted on the afternoon of Friday, November 1. The hospital is being proposed for the existing site of the Stonelake Landing shopping center on the city's westside Stonelake neighborhood.

The noise test will focus on noise created from helicopters. CNU is seeking a trauma center designation for their proposed $900 million 400 bed facility.

The city of Elk Grove is asking people to refrain from using the adjacent trails during the testing period.
