Suspects in separate incidents arrested by Elk Grove Police after allegedly not following orders, resisting arrest

Elk Grove Police arrested two suspects who allegedly refused to follow orders and resisted detention on Monday, October 28.

Following a traffic stop near Calvine and Power Inn roads just after 9 a.m., Michael Aaron Chand, 53, of Sacramento, refused to identify himself and follow police officer's orders. After 20 minutes of trying to get Chand to exit the car, officers forcibly removed him.

Just before 10 p.m., police contacted Jeron Dewitt Evans, 26, of Elk Grove, on the 7000 block of Elk Grove Blvd. After Evans allegedly did not follow orders to leave the area, he physically resisted officers who attempted to detain him.

Chand and Evans were arrested, placed in custody at the county jail, and was released.
