Rancho Cordova woman allegedly tried evading police, rolls vehicle

A Rancho Cordova woman was taken into custody after she attempted to evade a traffic stop by Lincoln Police.
At 2:25 a.m. on Wednesday, November 21, a Lincoln Police Officer initiated a traffic stop on Twelve Bridges Drive near Southcreek Drive. As he approached the vehicle it sped away.
The vehicle traveled Northbound on Highway 65 with the officer in pursuit. At two different times, the vehicle drove in the southbound lanes to pass northbound vehicles.
A CHP airplane advised it was close and would soon be overhead. At Rioso Road the driver briefly lost control, but then began traveling southbound on Lincoln-Sheridan Boulevard.
For safety reasons, as the pursuit neared Lincoln, the officer shut down his lights and siren and was advised by the CHP airplane crew that the vehicle had rolled numerous times in a field (north of 7th Street), striking a power pole. Officers arrived and found Telsae Colleado to be the only occupant.
Colleado, 30, of Rancho Cordova, was arrested for felony evading a peace officer, driving the opposite direction as traffic while evading a peace officer, and a felony warrant from El Dorado County (possession of stolen property). She was booked at the South Placer Jail.
