Bank robbery suspect sought by Elk Grove Police



Elk Grove Police are seeking assistance identifying a suspect who robbed a bank this morning.

The suspect described as a Caucasian male adult, six feet tall (6’0”), one hundred eighty-five pounds (185 lbs.) entered the El Dorado Savings Bank at 8973 Grant Line Road and presented a teller with a note demanding money. After the teller complied with the demands, he exited the facility and fled in a late model dark-colored sedan, possibly a Nissan. 

After the robbery police recieved information that the suspect had driven to the Heritage Hill Drive and Calvine Road. After canvassing the area, the suspect was not located. 

The suspect was wearing a yellow jacket with black sleeves, dark-colored pants, and a white hard hat.

Anyone with information regarding this robbery is asked to call the Elk Grove Police Department Detective Bureau at (916) 478-8060 or Crime Stoppers at (916) 443-HELP (4357).  Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.00.  Tips can also be sent via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on a cell phone, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message.
