65 citations issued by Elk Grove Police during enhanced traffic enforcement

The Elk Grove Police Department reported 65 traffic citations were issued in a two week period in specific areas of the city.
For a two week enforcement period, traffic police increased patrols in specific neighborhoods and streets based on community feedback. Those areas with increased patrols Emerald Vista; West Taron & Ruddy Duck; West Taron & Riparian; Carrcroft & Hendon; Bader & Sheldon; Excelsior & Halfway; and Toscano & Darley.
During that time span along with issuing the citations, 106 vehicles were stopped. According to the statement by the EGPD "we have new locations identified for the next two weeks so before you run or roll through that stop sign or speed, better think twice because we may just be at that intersection. We want everyone to travel safely."
