Social media 'stalking' by Elk Grove, Kronick Moskovitz Tiedmann & Girard law firm criticized during city council meeting

At last night's Elk Grove City Council meeting, a private citizen expressed dismay that she had been stalked on social media by the city's outside legal counsel.

Those remarks were made by Crystal Cornelison during the public comment section of the meeting. Cornelison is an employee of Big B Construction who is a defendant in a construction defect lawsuit filed by the city.

In her comments, Cornelison said the surveillance of her social media was conducted by the city's outside counsel, Sacramento-based Kronick, Moskovitz, Tiedmann & Girard (KMTG). The surveillance of Cornelison's social media postings, who is not a party to the complaint, was revealed in a public document request from the California  Fair Political Practices Commission.

The documents from the FPPC came from a complaint filed against three Elk Grove city employees involved in the construction-defect litigation. KMTG included surveillance of Cornelison in the city's response to the FPPC

As part of the document release, it was learned KMTG had included Conrenilson social media postings in their response to the FPPC. See Cornelison's complete comments in the video below.

'Hey Kronick Moscovitz, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the more than 30,000 Hillary emails that are missing'

What’s next Elk Grove City Council? Social media stalking, on the taxpayers’ dime, the students who spoke out in favor of an EPS band and spoke out against getting the run around from the so-called focus group the council formed.
