Suspects with arrest warrants apprehended by Elk Grove Police after attempting to return stolen merchandise

Two Sacramento men were taken into custody by Elk Grove Police after they attempted to return stolen merchandise for a refund.
On Thursday, January 30, police responded to the Stein Mart store on Laguna Boulevard after James Hodges, 33, and Dale Lewis, 24, attempted to return merchandise they allegedly stole from the store for a refund. Police learned both suspects had active arrests warrants, and their vehicle had a tampered vehicle identification number.
There is no booking information on Lewis, and Hodges remains in custody at the county jail with an arraignment on Monday, February 3.
