Ly leads in race for six spots on Democratic Central Committee District 5 delegation, three in contention for sixth position

Elk Grove Mayor Steve Ly is at the top of the pack of 15 candidates seeking six spots on the Sacramento Democratic Central Committee District 5 delegation.

In the most recent vote county released by Sacramento County, Ly has captured 12-percent of the total vote. In second place is Cosumnes Community Services District Director Jaclyn Moreno with eight-percent and 5,056 votes.

Following Moreno is Nancy Fox with eight-percent with 4,837 votes; Elk Grove City Council District 3 candidate Maureen Craft also at eight percent with 4,666 votes, and  Cosumnes Community Services District Director Orlando Fuentes has  4,326 votes for seven-percent.

The candidate currently in sixth place is Goldy Shergill at six percent. Shergill current has 3,845 votes and is followed by Andres Ramos with 3,841 votes and Denessa Atiles with 3,807 votes. 

All precincts have reported but not all votes have been counted. The next update is scheduled is for 4 p.m. on Friday, March 6.
