A teenager is in custody at juvenile hall after being taken into custody by Elk Grove Police.
Just after midnight on Thursday, July 2 officers contacted the 16-year old male on the 8200 block of Laguna Brook Way after receiving a call for service. The suspect was in a parked vehicle with the engine running.
Officers determined the juvenile did not have a driver's license. An inventory search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a loaded firearm and a high capacity magazine.
