Two suspects arrested on weapons charges after Elk Grove Police receive tip

Two suspects, one of whom is on probation, were taken into custody on weapons charges after a witness reported suspicious behavior.

Yesterday a caller notified Elk Grove Police of a suspicious vehicle at an undisclosed location. Two people inside the vehicle, Tywan DeAngelo Jackson, 19, and Brianna Nhi Duong, 19, were contacted by police officers.

Police learned Jackson was on probation and a vehicle search led to the discovery of a loaded firearm. Both suspects were arrested and booked into the county jail.

Jackson remains in custody ineligible for release and Duong has been released.
