Suspect charged with attempted murder remains in county jail after Elk Grove shooting incident




A Sacramento man remains in custody at the Sacramento County Jail after a late afternoon shooting incident in Elk Grove.

Ramitesh Ramit Kumar, 26, was arrested by Elk Grove Police on Thursday, February 4 after he allegedly fired shots and hit another vehicle occupied by two people near Elk Grove-Florin and Calvine roads. Responding Elk Grove Police officers arrested Kumar after they located the weapon.

Kumar is held on one misdemeanor and four felony charges including attempted murder and is not eligible for bail. Arraignment is on Monday, March 8.
