Assistance sought by police to locate at-risk person in Elk Grove

ELK GROVE, CA – The Elk Grove Police Department is asking for the community’s help in locating at-risk missing person, 78-year-old Kiflit Ghenremariam (photo attached). Ghenremariam has a medical/cognitive condition that makes him at risk.

On Monday, August 9, 2021 around 7:30 p.m., family of Mr. Ghenremariam was unable to find him and contacted police. Mr. Ghenremariam was last seen around 10:30 a.m. on August 9th at his home, in the area of E. Taron Drive and Elk Grove Boulevard. It is very likely he left on foot.

Kiflit is 5'8, 170 lbs. He was last seen wearing black shoes, dark blue pants, a white shirt and has a freshly shaven head with no facial hair.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Kiflit Ghenremariam is asked to contact the Elk Grove Police Department Dispatch Center at (916) 714-5115.
