For the six months ending June 30, Pat Hume outpaced Jaclyn Moreno in the fundraising race. Both elected officials are running for the District 5 seat on the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors.

For the six months ending June 30, Hume, who serves on the Elk Grove City Council, raised $28,358 while Moreno brought in $2,825. Even though Hume captured more donations during the reporting period, Moreno, a Director with the Cosumnes Community Services District, raised $24,458 during 2020 and ended the six months with $25,256 on hand.

Hume received many $250 donations from a variety of real estate developers and some elected officials.  Among the former and current elected Republican officials donating to Hume, a Republican, are former Sacramento County Supervisors Roger Niello and Susan Peters and Rancho Cordova City Councilmember David Sander.

During her fundraising activities last year, most of Moreno's donations came from small individual contributions. Moreno, a Democrat, received contributions from elected officials, including SMUD Board members Rosanne Herber, Gregg Fishman, and David Tamayo, CCSD Directors Orlando Fuentes and Rod Brewer, as well as labor union donations.

Hume and Moreno are vying to replace Supervisor Don Nottoli, who has decided not to seek an eighth four-year term.
