District 2 Elk Grove City Council candidate reports fundraising results

One of the four candidates seeking the Elk Grove City Council District 2 seat has reported their campaign fundraising efforts for the six months ending December 31.

According to California Form 460 filed with the city council candidate show that first-time candidate Mahavir "Kalli" Kallirai raised $23,003. Of those funds, $11,132 came from donations, $11,000 from a personal loan and $871 in nonmonetary contributions.

Kallirai listed 45 donations, of which 41 were from individuals. Of those 41, three were made in the candidate's name for $4,105.

This year the District 2 seat will be open after the four-term incumbent Pat Hume announced his candidacy for the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors. Along with Kallirai, the other candidates are Felipe Martin, Elk Grove Planning Commissioner Sergio Robles, and Cosumnes Community Services District Director Rod Brewer.

The filing deadline for the period ending on December 31, 2021, is January 31.
