Suspect arrested in Sunday night Elk Grove deadly stabbing

The Elk Grove Police have arrested a person suspected of a stabbing murder on Sunday night. The suspect, Aaron Spencer, 31, was taken into custody not long after last night's incident. 

According to police, Spencer and the victim were involved in an argument when he stabbed the male victim multiple times near the bus stop on Sheldon Road and Lewis Stein near the Winco grocery store. Responding officers discovered the victim at 6:47 p.m.

Using surveillance footage, they identified Spencer who returned to the scene after leaving the area. After being detained, Spencer was arrested and booked into the county jail on murder charges. 

The name of the victim has not been released by the Sacramento County Coroner
