As one of four candidates and one of three Democrats, Dr. Tecoy Porter kicked off canvassing efforts today in his pursuit of the California Assembly 10th District seat.

Along with a focused group of supporters, Porter and his campaign volunteering started their efforts in Sacramento's Meadowview neighborhood. Porter, a longtime Elk Grove resident, is the senior pastor at Genesis Church in South Sacramento.

Porter has held phone banking and canvassing efforts over several weeks. In the June 7 primary, the top two finishers will advance to the November general election regardless of party afflation.
