Waterman Road rehab starts this week, expect closures and delays

On Thursday, July 14 work will begin a rehabilitation and widening project will on Waterman Road in Elk Grove.
Waterman Road will be closed from Hill Top Cemetery to Bond Road through August 26. The improvements will feature new paving to road surfaces, added bike lanes, upgraded curb ramps to ADA standards, and a pedestrian flashing beacon at the Elk Grove Creek Crossing on Elk Grove Florin Road.
Expect daily single-lane closures and traffic control on Waterman Road and Elk Grove Florin Road throughout the project. Project completion is expected in early 2023.
The Waterman Road improvements is part of a $8.1 million road improvements project approved in 2019. The majority of the funding, $3.45 million, came from federal sources.
