A contribution of $4,900 was made by United Contractors PAC. The $1,000 contribution was from an individual.
The owner and operator of a construction company, Martin, loaned his campaign $100,000 last year. Combined with his loan, contributions received earlier this year, and the recent activity, Martin has raised $112,050.
Martin is one of three candidates seeking to fill the seat being vacated by City Councilmember Pat Hume, who is running for the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors. The other candidates are Michelle Kile and Cosumnes Community Services District Director Rod Brewer.
To date, Kile has generated two contributions for $5,900. Kile received $4,900 from Associated Builders and Contractors and the rest from one individual.
Brewer's most recent California Form 460 disclosure for six months ending June 30 revealed he has received $76,321 in funding, of which $69,522 is a personal loan. Sources claim Brewer will receive campaign funding from the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, which has played a significant role in many Elk Grove City Council elections.
