Moreno narrows gap with Hume, race for Sacramento County Supervisors District 5 tied

In what is a favorable trend for Sacramento County Supervisor District 5 candidate Jaclyn Moreno, the vote tallies released this afternoon show she narrowed her gap with Pat Hume by about half.

Today's tallies show Moreno is trailing Hume by 344 votes. Hume currently has 36,507 votes to Moreno's 36,163.

On Friday, November 18, Hume led Moreno by 714 votes.

In today's count, Sacramento County Voter Registration and Elections said there are less than 89,000 uncounted ballots countywide. District 5 has about 20 percent of the total ballots countywide, which suggests there are approximately less than 19,400 vote uncounted ballots in this race.

The next update is on Tuesday, November 29.

Granite Bay must be in panic mode about now! All their future development plans within County District 5 could be in jeopardy while their racehorse Hume limps down the final straight towards the finish line. I guess all that mudslinging thrown towards Moreno during the campaign might be blowing back in their faces?

Talk around the cocktail parties must be how to organize an apology tour to Moreno's camp if she wins the election. Passengers on board, luggage underneath!
