Stephanie Nguyen bids adieu to Elk Grove City Council

Regardless of the outcome of her campaign for California Assembly District 10, Stephanie Nguyen participated in her last meeting as a member of Elk Grove City Council.
Although she maintains a lead as of today over her opponent, Sacramento City Councilmember Eric Guerra, the outcome of that race will not be finalized for weeks. To run for the Assembly, Nguyen could not run for the reelection of Elk Grove District 4.
The next meeting of the Elk Grove City Council is December 14, 2022. If Nguyen prevails in the Assembly race, she will take her oath on December 5, 2022.
Nguyen was appointed to the City Council in January 2017 to fill the vacancy created by the election of Steve Ly, who was the District 4 representative, to Elk Grove Mayor. In 2018 Nguyen successfully ran for a full term as the District 4 representative.
