Elk Grove Police report an assault and robbery on Friday afternoon in the vicinity of Laguna Boulevard and High Tech Court.
According to police reports the victim was approached by the unknown suspect who asked for a cigarette. When the victim gave the suspect a cigarette, the suspect punched the him in the back of the head. The suspect then proceeded to remove money from the victim’s jacket pocket.
The suspect fled the area on foot and was seen getting into an older white Lexus being driven by another individual. The suspect is described as a black male adult in his 20’s, wearing a black baseball cap, black hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans. There was no description for the driver
