A man wanted by multiple local law enforcement agencies was picked-up by Elk Grove Police on Thursday on suspicion of shoplifting at one of the Elk Grove Wal Mart stores.

According to police reports, 55-year old Anthony Franklin of Sacramento was detained by store employees after he allegedly shoplifted merchandise from the Wal Mart store on Elk Grove Blvd. Responding officers found the suspect had outstanding warrants from Sacramento Police and Rancho Cordova Police for driving without a license and failure to appear for a court hearing and Sacramento Regional Transit Police for evasion of payment of fare and failure to appear for a court hearing.

Franklin was arrested and booked into the county jail where he remains in custody on bail totaling $17,188.
