Suspected Drunk Driving Dad in Jail

January 5, 2016 |

An Elk Grove father was arrested Sunday afternoon on suspicion of drunk driving with his three-year old child.

According to Elk Grove Police, officers were dispatched to Elk Grove Boulevard and Cresleigh Parkway in response to a reckless driver. Officers located the vehicle being driven by 34-year old Ruel Natores and conducted an enforcement stop.

As officers approached the vehicle, Natores allegedly threw narcotics paraphernalia out the passenger side window. Upon contact, Natores displayed objective signs of impairment, performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was arrested.

Natores' son, who was a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the stop, was released to a relative. The suspect was booked into the county jail and is being held on a $20,000 bail and is facing three misdemeanor charges and one felony charge of violating his probation.
