In separate incidents on Thursday, Elk Grove Police arrested three suspects on narcotics charges, one of whom was also found to be concealing while being booked into custody.
In the first incident, 28-year old Marina Christine Vincent-Martinez was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for a code violation on the 9100 Harbour Point Drive. A records
check revealed that Martinez was on probation and had an active arrest warrant.
A subsequent search led to the discovery of narcotics. After being arrested and while being booked into the county jail, Martinez was also found to be in possession of additional narcotics. Martinez is being held for warrants from Burlingame and Tehema County and will be arraigned on Monday afternoon.
Late Thursday morning 43-year old Steven Edwards of Chico was contacted near Elk Grove-Florin Road and Rio Grande Court. A records check revealed Edward had an outstanding arrest warrant and was found to be in possession of narcotics. Edwards was arrested and has been released from custody.
Police also arrested 20-year old Arturo Espejo following a vehicle stop near Elk Grove Boulevard and Laguna Springs Drive. Espejo was a passenger in the vehicle and a records check revealed he was on probation.
A search of Espejo led to the discovery of a controlled substance and narcotic
paraphernalia. Espejo was arrested and has been released.
