Elk Grove Police Arrests Teenagers Suspected of Attempting Late Night Residential Burglary

June 1, 2016 |Two teenagers were taken into custody late last night after they were arrested on suspicion of an attempted residential burglary in the Laguna neighborhood.The two male suspects, ages 16 and 15 from Elk Grove and Sacramento respectively, rang a door bell on the  8200 block of Windwood Way. The person inside the residence decided not to answer the door and several minutes later heard someone attempting to open a rear door. When the resident came downstairs to investigate, she saw the suspects in her backyard, yelled, and the suspects ran away. Responding officers located and detained the suspects a short distance away from the original call for service. The suspects were taken into custody booked into juvenile hall.
