We’re inviting local high school students to share their thoughts on: “If I were the Elk Grove City Manager, my City budget priorities would be…”

Imagine you’re managing the city’s budget and tell us, in 500 words or less, what you’d prioritize. This isn’t just a writing contest—it’s a platform to influence real financial priorities. What would you focus on if you held the city’s purse strings?

Cash prizes will be awarded to winning entries:

  • First Place: $500
  • Second Place: $300
  • Third Place: $100

This opportunity is open to all current high school students who live in Elk Grove. Submit your entry online by Sunday, March 30 at elkgrovecity.org/budget
