Teenager Arrested by Elk Grove Police, Was Passenger in Recklessly Driven Stolen Vehicle

Police apprehended a 17-year old male who was suspected of being a passenger in a stolen vehicle that was being operated recklessly in Elk Grove. 

Just before 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, Elk Grove Police responded to a call regarding reckless driving near Bruceville Road and Laguna Boulevard. Callers provided police dispatch with a license plate number which identified the vehicle as stolen.

Officers located the vehicle traveling northbound on Bruceville Road when the driver turned into a neighborhood. Both the driver and the passenger fled on foot, and after an extensive search, the passenger was located and taken into custody.
