Guerra wins post-primary California Democratic Party endorsement in competitive District 10 Assembly race

Information posted on social media reports Sacramento City Councilmember Eric Guerra earned the California State Democratic party's endorsement in the District 10 California Assembly seat race. Guerra is competing against fellow Democrat Elk Grove City Councilmember Stephanie Nguyen.
 

Amar Shergill, Chair of the California Democratic Progressive Caucus, posted this on social media following yesterday's post primary endorsement proceedings.

CA AD10 endorsement results are in!🗳️ Congratulations to @EricZGuerra for getting the @CA_Dem Party endorsement.✅

Turns out that Democrats don't want to endorse @StephNguyenCA...and that just might have something to do with her endorsement of Republicans. 💅 https://t.co/MkMlp03dQq

Official vote tallies from California Democratic party's website shows Guerra receiving 29 delegate votes to Nguyen's 13, and one "no endorsement" vote. Guerra received 67-percent of the votes. 

 

Neither Guerra or Nguyen have issued statements or posted information on their campaign websites regarding the post primary-endorsement.
