Missing in action - 3 EGUSD Trustees not included in Yes on Measure N social media campaign

With over $269,000 in funding from real estate developers and construction interests, Elk Grove Unified School District's Yes on Measure N has been actively campaigning for the $542 million 30-year bond.

Along with signs and mailers, Yes on N has a website and a social media presence and has spent $1,600 with Messenger Publisher Group, owner of the Elk Grove Citizen, and over $100,000 with Randle Communications for TV advertising.

The Facebook campaign has notably included endorsements from prominent local elected officials, like California Assemblymember Stephanie Nguyen. Other insignificant politicians who have endorsed the $542 million bond, like Elk Grove City Councilmembers Kevin Spease and Darren Suen, are not featured on social media.

The campaign has two past trustee endorsements and statements from four current board members supporting the measure. Curiously, as of today, statements from three of the trustees are not included on the campaign's Facebook page.

Given that ballots arrived over a week ago and must be returned in 11 days, the time is running out for the Yes on N proponents to convey the messages of support from the entire EGUSD Board of Trustees.

While two of the three missing Trustees are included in the list of endorsements, one is conspicuously missing. Who's missing - watch the video to see.

Like any smart consumer, I want to see an itemized list of where my money will be spent before I vote Yes On N. Not seeing a plan on what improvements will be made for what schools to me, is like buying a used car sight unseen. Sounds like another blank check to me.

My guess is the Albiani wants to keep herself on the down low with all those anti-vaxer MAGAs out in the rural part of Elk Grove.
