A Courtland, Calif. man was arrested after he led Elk Grove Police on a vehicle pursuit late last night.
According to Elk Grove Police 47-yer-old Jorge Cristantos was operating a vehicle when officers attempted to conduct a stop. the suspect did not yield and led officers on a 3.4 mile pursuit.
During the pursuit officers deployed a tire-deflation device but the suspect continued to drive. Upon reaching Kammerer Road and Promenade Pkwy, Christantos exited his moving vehicle and ran away on foot.
Responding officers chased the suspect and he was taken into custody in a nearby field. An officer utilized the PIT maneuver to stop the runaway vehicle which had been left in gear and was driving in circles.
Christantos was arrested and transferred to the county jail.
