The Second Annual Elk Grove Mayor’s Casino Night was held on April 27, 2012 at Pins N Strikes in Elk Grove. The charity event benefited Elk Grove Food Bank Services and Elk Grove Together, two non-profits who aid those less fortunate in our community.

On hand as hosts were Elk Grove Mayor Jim Cooper, Council members Gary Davis and Steve Detrick. The event’s celebrity dealers included City of Elk Grove Elk Grove Planning Commissioner Nancy Chaires, CCSD Board of Director Rod Brewer and Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Angi Perry.

“Though attendance was a bit down from last year, our guests were extremely kind hearted in giving towards our benefactors,” states Connie Conley from the Elk Grove Community Connection. “Most importantly, our guests had a great time interacting with each other, our hosts and the celebrity dealers.”

Cooper, Davis and Detrick took turns on the microphone hosting and keeping the casino hopping.

Gross profits, which included in-kind raffle prize donations, neared $8,200.
