Two men who attempted an armed robbery Friday night of a local grocery store fled before actually taking any cash.
According to Elk Grove Police, two armed men entered the Wal Mart Neighborhood Market store on Elk Grove Blvd. just before midnight and confronted two store employees. The suspects then demanded money from the employees.
Before they obtained any cash, the two men fled the store and were last seen driving away in a silver colored vehicle.
Police reports describe the first suspect as wearing a green long sleeved hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, black shoes with a bandana concealing his face. The second suspect was wearing a black beanie, blue jacket, blue jeans, dark colored shoes with a white cloth concealing his face.
