Elk Grove Police Arrest Registered Sex Offender as Suspect in Yesterday's Kidnapping Incident

Elk Grove Police arrested a suspect in for yesterday's kidnapping of a real estate agent.

The suspect in custody is 47-year old David Burnhart, is a registered sex offender. 

Burnhart was arrested for allegedly kidnapping a female real estate agent yesterday afternoon at a model home on the 8500 block of Ria Formosa Way near the Elk Grove Auto Mall and Cosumnes Oaks High School. 

Burnhart was arrested in Modesto and was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun. The suspect is being held at the Sacramento County Jail on a $1 million bail.
