Elk Grove Police Serve Search Warrant, Find 1,000 Plants in Marijuana Grow House

A service of a search warrant yesterday morning led to the discovery of over 1,000 marijuana plants.

Detectives from the Elk Grove Police Department served two search warrants, including one on the 8200 block of Toad Hollow Way. Inside the dwelling detectives seized over 1,000 marijuana plants, processed marijuana, U.S. currency and indicia of sales.

Two suspects, 51-year old Ruitana Liu (above right) of Sacramento and 48-year old Hui Fang Jiang (above left) of Elk Grove were arrested. Both suspects remain in custody at the county jail but are not eligible for bail based on the seriousness of the charges. Arraignment is scheduled for Friday afternoon.
