Victim Hospitalized, Robbed by Five Suspects in Mid-afternoon Elk Grove Mugging

A victim was treated at an area hospital after a mid-afternoon mugging in Elk Grove's East Franklin neighborhood.

The male victim was walking alone on the 10000 block of Wild Orchid Way on Monday, October 24, 2016, when five unknown suspects, four males, and one female, confronted him.  The suspects assaulted the victim striking him in the face and head several times. 

The female suspect took the victim's cell phone and backpack. The suspects, who were wearing dark clothing, fled the area on foot. The victim suffered visible injuries and was transported to a local area hospital for medical treatment. 

Responding officers were unable to locate the suspects. All males suspect were described as black juveniles and the female juvenile suspect as being a Hispanic.
