An Elk Grove man was arrested after he allegedly fled an accident while drunk driving.

On the early morning of Sunday, January 29, Elk Grove Police officers responded to a call regarding a hit and run vehicle accident near Calvine and Jordan Ranch roads. The reporting person indicated that the vehicle was a Chevy Corvette.

The suspected vehicle, which was driven by 22-year old Grant Dean Barbour, was located by officers and had front end damage. Officers attempted to stop Barbour who then led officers on a 6.8 mile pursuit that ended near Waterman and Sheldon roads.

Upon contact, Barbour reportedly displayed objective signs of impairment, was arrested and booked into the county jail. Barbour, who was charged with DUI, felony reckless driving, and felony hit and run, has been released on bail.
