Sacramento Central Labor Council Executive Director Appointed to Calif. Workforce Development Board

The Executive Director of Sacramento Central Labor Council was appointed to the California Workforce Development by Gov. Jerry Brown.

Fabrizio Sasso, 37, of Sacramento,  has been the Executive Director of of Sacramento Central Labor Council since 2015. Prior to that he he was lead organizer at the SEIU Western Workers Organizing Committee from 2011 to 2015, campaign coordinator at Reid and Associates from 2010 to 2011 and director of youth markets at the American Heart Association from 2008 to 2010. 

Sasso, who holds a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Southern California and  was an associate consultant at California Connections from 2007 to 2008 and chief of staff in the Office of Stockton Mayor Edward J. Chavez from 2004 to 2007. 

This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Sasso is a Democrat.
