An Elk Grove Police officer doing a routine early morning business check collared two burglary suspects.

At approximately 4:45 a.m. on Thursday, May 4 a patrol officer was checking on the delivery area of the Kohls department store on Bruceville Road when two men underneath a delivery trailer were observed. After both suspects were detained, several items from the store were discovered.

Upon closer examination, it was discovered there was a hole in the trailer. The two suspects, Daniel Steven Cano, 42, and Tagiilima Tautau, 45 were arrested and booked into the county jail.
