A pedestrian sustained injuries in a mid-afternoon drive-by shooting in Elk Grove.

The victim saw a white male juvenile with dirty blonde hair hanging out of the passenger side window of the vehicle. The victim was struck by a projectile fired from a BB gun or an Airsoft gun.

The victim was transported to a local area hospital for medical treatment. Officers responded to the area but were unable to locate the suspects.
