A homeowner came home to find a suspected burglar asleep in his bed.

At 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17 the victim entered his house on the 200 block of West Pearl Lane and found Abusamad Choudry, 31 sleeping in his bed. When police arrived, they located the subject sleeping in the victim’s master bedroom.

The suspect apparently entered the residence by kicking in the back door. Responding Stockton Police officers located a backpack full of items belonging to the owner.

After being awoken from his slumber, Choudry was arrested and booked into the county jail.
