Probation Search By Elk Grove Police Leads to Arrest of Two Suspects

An early afternoon probation search led to the arrest of two men on various charges including possession of a loaded handgun.

On Saturday, July 22 Elk Grove Police contacted Juvenal Lopez Cervantes, 33, of Auburn, Wash., and Jaime Macielsloan, 26 of Sacramento on the 9600 block of Dino Drive. Upon contact, Macielsloan was found to be on probation.   

A probation search of the vehicle led to the discovery of burglary tools, assorted hand tools, a loaded handgun and a controlled substance. Cervantes was found to be in possession of ammunition belonging to the handgun located in the vehicle. 

Both suspects were arrested and booked into the county jail. Cervantes is being held on $100,000 bail with arraignment scheduled for Tuesday, July 25 and Macielsloan was released from custody earlier today.
