South Sacramento home invasion robbery


The Sacramento Police Department is seeking the public's assistance to identify home invasion robbery suspects who were captured on a surveillance video.

At 2:22 a.m on Wednesday August 16 police were dispatched to the 4000 block of De La Vina Way regarding the robbery that had just occurred Officers arrived and determined that a home invasion robbery had occurred. 

The victims, who are in their 70s, stated that eight male black adults approached them as they pulled into their driveway. Armed with at least one handgun, the suspects entered the house and stole the victim’s personal property.

The suspect descriptions are as follows:

  • Suspect 1: wearing a camouflage sweater with shorts
  • Suspect 2: wearing a hoodie with a large ‘Jordan’ symbol printed on the front, sweatpants with a small patch on the left side pant leg
  • Suspect 3: wearing a sweater, sweatpants with double lines going down both sides of the pant legs
  • Suspect 4: wearing a hoodie with ‘Jordan’ symbol located on the front and a design below the ‘Jordan’ symbol
  • Suspect 5: wearing a multi-color shirt with large numbers “00” printed on the back of the shirt and cross symbols on each shoulder, wearing pants
  • Suspect 6: wearing a sweater with printed letters on the left forearm sleeve, symbol on the left chest, and two small symbols on each side of the arms
  • Suspect 7: wearing a jacket and pants
  • Suspect 8: wearing a sweater and pants


Police said their vehicle is either a white 2 or 4-door Nissan Altima. Below is a video of the robbery. 



The home invasion robbery is one of four robberies that occurred on the late evening of Wednesday, August 16 and the early morning hours of Thursday, August 17.

Below is a  description of the other three incidents that are being investigated by South Area Neighborhood Crimes Unit Detectives. Detectives have not determined if the four incidents are related.  

Robbery / 7200 Block Jacinto Ave / 11:49 p.m. 
The victim parked in his driveway and was exiting his vehicle when (4) male black adult suspects approached him, brandished firearms, and stole his personal property.

Robbery / 8400 Block Hermitage Way / 11:52 p.m. 
The victim was exiting his vehicle when (2) male black adult suspects approached him and demanded his money. One of the suspects stated that he had a gun and punched him in the face. The suspect stole his personal property.

Attempted Robbery / 7800 Block Cavalier Way / 1:41 a.m. 
The victim pulled into her garage and was confronted by (2) male black adults who demanded money. The victim stated that she had no money and called for her daughter as the suspects fled on foot.
