An early morning police raid led to the arrest of five men suspected of operating a marijuana grow house in Elk Grove. 

At 7:03 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, Elk Grove Police served a search warrant on the 5500 block of Foxview Way in Elk Grove's East Franklin neighborhood. The search revealed a marijuana growing operation.

Officers recovered more than 2,800 plants and over 50 pounds or marijuana. Police arrested five male suspects, four of whom resided in the dwelling.

The suspects in custody at the Sacramento County Jail include Ru Wu Zhu, 52, Brooklyn NY; Shanzhi Zhao, 56, Elk Grove; Zu Yong Lin, 52, New York, NY; Bao Zhi Lian, 55, Philadelphia; and Biji Chen, 66, Elk Grove. All five are held on $50,000 bail and will be arraigned on Monday, September 11.
