Elk Grove Probationer Arrested After Allegedly Brandishing BB Gun, Threatening Neighbor

An Elk Grove probationer is in custody at the Sacramento County Jail after being arrested on three charges including alleged violation of probation and making a willful threat.

Shortly after 11 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19, Elk Grove Police was dispatched to the 7000 block of Springmont Drive in the Laguna neighborhood. Officers contacted Sheldon Cardel Maytum, 27, who had allegedly threatened a neighbor and brandished a BB rifle.

Maytum (pictured above) was arrested on two felony and one misdemeanor charges and is being held on $65,000 bail. Arraignment is scheduled for Friday, September 22.
