An Elk Grove man remains in custody at the Sacramento County Jail after he was arrested for an outstanding warrant and on suspicion of committing an act of domestic violence.
Just before 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 10, Tyler James Waters was in vehicle with his victim when he allegedly forced the victim's head into a window, struck their face and made threats. Waters also reportedly took the victim's cell phone when they attempted to call police for assistance.
Elk Grove Police officers found Waters and the victim on the 9600 block of Bruceville Road. The victim had suffered visible injuries.
After being detained, a records search revealed Waters had an outstanding arrests warrant. Waters is being held on four felony and one misdemeanor charges and is scheduled for arraignment on Thursday, October 12.
