Sacramento's Casual D Releases 'Headed South of Heaven'

December 20, 2017 |

A Sacramento-based Hip Hop artist with a strong following has released his new compilation of songs.

With the release of the "Headed South of Heaven" EP, rapper and producer Casual D is capping off what has been a productive year. After releasing dozens of singles in 2017, Casual D is dropping six new singles.

“I wanted to push my self and do something different. I wanted to make a conceptual project with rapping and production handled by me using no samples," Casual D said. "I wanted to mix every vocal and add every effect. I put my all into this project and it’s definitely next level music in my opinion.”

The Sacramento Hip Hop site HofisBetter said "if you’re looking for a point of entry, I think he really shines on 'Think Twice' and 'Make It Last.'"

If you are not familiar with Casual D and his music, you can listen to his SoundCloud collections. The news releases can be heard here. Casual D can be followed on Twitter @_CasualD.
